No, we provide all rock climbing gear that you might need. If you are interested in pursuing the sport, we suggest you purchase some of the basics. To find climbing gear for sale in Chico CA, visit Mountain Sports at 173 E. 3rd St.

Where do we climb?

The climbing location we use depends on your goals, the season, weather, group size, and ability. Please let us know if you have a specific location in mind, and we will do our best to accommodate you.

How old do I have to be?

Currently, we can cater to climbers age 10 and up. Ages 10 to 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

Do I need to have rock climbing experience?

This trip is suitable for all levels, from "I've never even climbed a tree" to "I love rock climbing and want to do it all the time". Rock climbing is a physical sport, so good physical fitness is necessary.

Is rock climbing dangerous?

There is "inherent risk" involved in all outdoor sports, which is essential to the experience of the sport. We help you manage the risks involved with rock climbing to give you the best experience possible, but our instructors cannot fully remove risk from any outdoor rock climbing excursion. Please contact us if you have more questions.

I am afraid of heights. Can I still participate?

Many people report that rock climbing helps them overcome their fear of heights. That being said, we uphold the "challenge by choice" philosophy, which means that YOU get to decide how much you will participate. We will encourage you to push your comfort zone, but only you know what is right for you.
